We are getting poorer, SEIU leaders are getting richer!

This BAD Contract is another SEIU Backroom Deal.

  • First they created fear of Meg Whitman to justify a bad contract for 3 years.

  • Then they spent millions of our money to elect Jerry Brown.

  • Then they rushed to ratify the bad contract with a totally corrupt election.

  • Here comes the backroom deal:  The legislators had ratified the contract while we were voting.

  • Even the Governor had signed the contract before SEIU claimed an overwhelming ratification, how does that work?  Spelled:  Backroom Deals!!!

  • To begin with, if there was no Meg Whitman to fear, why rush to ratify a BAD contract for 3 years?

  • If Governor Brown owes his Governorship to state employees, why didn't we wait for a month until he is in the office to negotiate a better contract for one year???

What SEIU Local 1000 tells you is deceitful fuzzy math!

Here is the simple math that you need to know about:

# This is what we lose with this BAD contract % Loss
1  Increase in pension contribution   3.0
2  One PLP / Furlough day per month   4.6
3  Loss of two holidays   0.77
4  Loss due to increase in cost of living in 2010 (Per Social Security Administration)   5.8
 Total loss  14.17

Here is Indisputable last 11 years losses due to SEIU Local 1000's BAD Contracts:

# What we have already lost in last 11 years % Loss
1  In 2007 we lost 0.5% of our income to SEIU’s dues increase   0.5
2 In the last 11 years, due to SEIU’s similar BAD Contracts we have lost 11.5% of our income to increased cost of living   11.5
Total loss due to previous BAD Contracts of SEIU Local 1000  12.00

Our total loss due SEIU Local 1000' last 11 yeas of lousy performance would be:

# Last 11 years' losses plus the potential loss due to this BAD Contract % Loss
1 Loss due to this BAD Contract  14.17
2  Loss due to 11 years of SEIU Local 1000's lousy performa  12.00
Total loss due to previous BAD Contracts and present BAD Contract  26.17

Annually, SEIU Local 1000, collects $63 million = 1.5% gross income of 95,000 state employees.  We get 14.17% pay cut for bargaining, a dysfunctional call center for representation, and zero accountability for $63 million!!!
