1st Open Letter

September 9, 2008

 To:  Yvonne Walker

From:  Ken Hamidi

RE:  Enough is enough!

Dear Ms. Walker,

The purpose of this open letter is to protest against your outrageous instruction to DLC presidents to buy a Union Table for $1,200.00 for a ceremony where the Sacramento Central Labor Council of AFL-CIO is recognizing excellence and leadership in the fight for social and economic justice for working families and to give a lifetime achievement award to Jim Hard.  This is absurd and an insult to state employees who as fee payers to SEIU Local 1000 have been subject to a long term abusive, corrupt, and undemocratic leadership of Jim Hard.  Following are some clear points, which proves that you are awarding a man who for years has abused, wasted, and defrauded our resources:

1.      AFL-CIO and SEIU are the arch enemies, because Andy Stern, waged a war against John Sweeny, President of AFL-CIO and separated from AFL-CIO in 2005.  This means AFL-CIO and SEIU are supposed to be serious enemies.

2.      Corrupt Andy Stern has been raiding/looting/stilling AFL-CIO’s unions since 2005, this means AFL-CIO and SEIU are supposed to be serious enemies.

3.      Corrupt Jim Hard, and now you, are paying 55% of the Sacramento Central Labor Council of AFL-CIO’s annual budget (please correct me if this figure, 55%, is not accurate).  There are many AFL-CIO unions in the Sacramento area, and it sees too odd and oxymoronic that SEIU Local 1000, their #1 enemy, pays 55% of their annual operating budget, why?  Whether this is extortion, bribe, and or hush money it is abusive and defraud of our dues.

Jim Hard’s major lifetime Achievement/Accomplishment is selling out and betraying the state employees.  If you have forgotten and before you want to correct me on that, please read and examine the uncontested documents that in 2007, I have posted about him on www.sos1000.org.  After you do that please answer this question:

Does Jim Hard deserve an award or imprisonment?

It will be in your best interest to withdraw your statement and ask Sacramento Central Labor Council to refrain from giving an award to the corrupt Jim Hard.

Ken Hamidi
