RE: You are
JEOPARDIZING THE DEMISE OF SEIU LOCAL 1000
Dear Ms. Walker,
On
September 9, 2008, I sent you an open letter,
http://www.shouttv4u.com/excerptopenlettertoyvonne1.htm,
regarding the "Lifetime Achievement Award" that you're
facilitating to give to Jim Hard.
I
advised you to stop the Sacramento Central Labor
Council of AFL-CIO, from giving that atrocious award to that corrupt
man, Jim Hard.
It
would be a wise move in your favor, if you do just that, you would gain
our respect and would show us that you want to change for better and would give us a reason to begin trusting you. However, if you
don't, it would be nothing but a slap of humiliation in our face. You
would clearly tell us that you will continue to pay 55% of
Central Democratic Council of our enemy AFL-CIO so in return, they would organize a lavish ceremony in
Radisson Hotel on September 25, 2008, and call it “Salute to Labor
Award's Dinner”.
It
has been reported to me that you have spent $50,000.00 of our precious union dues in
form of sponsorship on this event (please correct me if I'm wrong). You
also sent a letter to DLC presidents and urged them to buy, out of their
limited budget, a table at this event for the price of $1,200.00, you
are doing all of this at a time that we have the state budget crisis,
when the salaries and livelihood of state employees are at jeopardy,
when our paychecks are about to be reduced to $6.55/hour, that is a
shame.
I urge you to do the right thing, withdraw your statement you
made to the DLC presidents, take our money back from Sacramento Central
Labor Council.
You
must remember that due to the deficit in leadership and wrong doings of
Jim Hard, today our union is divided, members are fighting each other,
union leaders are fighting the members, and we do not have any respect
nor and trust in the leadership of our union. If you continue Jim Hard's way, you will JEOPARDIZE THE DEMISE OF THIS UNION.
Ken Hamidi
